Framework story
Ever After High is a boarding school attended by the children’s great fairy tale characters, such as Sleeping Beauty , Snow White , Little Red Riding Hood and many more. The protagonists are destined to follow in their parents' footsteps and keep their fairy tales alive for generations. The main characters are Raven Queen, who doesn't want to be bad like her mother, the bad queen, and Apple White, the daughter of Snow White, who wants to live "happily ever after". Raven prefers to be free to create her own destiny, while Apple, to protect her and her own destiny, believes that Raven should become the next evil queen. The students are usually divided into two groups. The "Royals" are the students who side with Apple to accept their fate and follow in their parents' footsteps. The "rebels" are the students who side with Raven in order to shape their own destiny. Many of the stories are about the students' regular interactions as teenagers, but there is another narrative thread where if students don't follow their individual destinies, their stories cease to exist and will disappear forever.
