Ewa Bonacka

Felicja Zofia Ewa Bonacka (born December 28, 1912 , Kosjatyn ; † October 23, 1992 in Warsaw ) was a Polish actress and director .

Life

Ewa Bonacka was engaged at the Polish Theater in Katowice from 1929 to 1930 , then at the theater in Lviv and from 1935 to 1939 at the Warsaw Teatr Ateneum . From 1946 to 1948 she played at the Polish Army Theater in Lodz . From 1949 to 1974 she worked as an actress and director at the National Theater in Warsaw. Here she played the Muza in Stanisław Wyspiańskis Wyzwolenie (1958), Frau Dobrójska in Aleksandr Fredros Śluby panieńskie (1963) and the Idalia in Juliusz Słowacki Fantazy (1960).

As a director she has performed at the Folk Theater Guilherme Figueiredos The Fox and the Grapes (1959), at the Drama Theater Jan Potockis Parady (1958) and at the Cracow Słowacki Theater Federico García Lorcas Dna Rosita (1970). She published the play Spotkanie po wojnie under the pseudonym Feliks Ostrow . She made her debut as a film actress in 1936. She has also worked as a director, screenwriter and translator on numerous television films.
