Exkrementophilie ( lat. Excrementum "elimination", "eject" and philia ) is a collective term for those sexual preferences ( paraphilias ) in which body waste such as feces , urine , saliva and other excretions such as menstrual blood or semen sexual arousal trigger.

background

Are special forms or partial aspects of excrementophilia

  • Urophilia (outdated: urolagnia ), the sexual preference for urine, possibly combined with uropotia , the drinking of urine
  • Coprophilia , the preference for feces, possibly combined with coprophagia , the eating of feces.

They are considered to be "rare paraphilias " according to DSM-5 . There are overlaps with other paraphilias such as sexual fetishism , sexual masochism and sexual sadism (cf. sadomasochism ). In relation to sexual sadism, Volker Faust called excrementophilia as a “compensation sadism ” (replacement of sexual acts) by “imposition of disgust ” on the part of a dominant person (such as dominatrix / -us). If these actions are carried out with the consent of the sexual partners in order to gain pleasure together, they are paraphilias which expressly lack the aspect of dissexuality (as a violation of the integrity and individuality of the other person). It is also a pars pro toto formation, with body excretions acting as part of a partner and thus assuming a fetish function (cf. for example fetishes ).

Excrementophilia should not be confused with urination dances or other cultic acts in which excrement is used. Such rites were described by John Gregory Bourke , an American cavalry officer who had first observed them in 1881 among North American Indians.
