history

According to a document, a church was built in 1674/1682 and enlarged in 1763. The church was historically renovated in 1881 and consecrated in 1894. 1952 was a restoration.

architecture

The new Romanesque redesigned church is surrounded by a cemetery.

The hall church closes with a retracted polygonal closing choir. In 1881/1894 the western front received transverse gables and the roof was given glazed colored roof tiles. The tower on the north side of the choir has an octagonal upper floor with romanised sound windows and cornices with a round arch frieze, it wears a canopy helmet over a crown with eight gables. The west portal under a canopy was built in 1952 instead of side portals.

The gable figure of the Archangel Michael is from the end of the 19th century.

The interior of the church shows itself with a short groin vaulted gallery yoke and two square yokes each containing two window axes under a barrel vault on cross-ribbed supports. The triumphal arch is basket-shaped. The one-bay choir closes round inside.

Furnishing

The historicizing high altar of the Sacred Heart from the end of the 19th century bears the side figures Sebastian and Rochus from the third quarter of the 18th century from the workshop of Josef Georg Witwer .

The triumphal arch crucifix from the end of the 17th century has the figures of Mary and John from the third quarter of the 18th century. The figure Sorrowful Mother was probably created by Johann Ladner .

The organ was built by the Rieger brothers in 1898. A bell is from the 15th century. Mathias Köttelath names a bell in 1727.
