Extra 260

The Extra 260 is a sport and aerobatic airplane. The machine built by Extra Aircraft is the forerunner of the Extra 300 . Its four-cylinder boxer engine develops 260 hp. Only six copies were delivered.

An Extra 260 is on display at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC . It is the machine of the world-famous aerobatic pilot Patty Wagstaff , who won the US National Aerobatic Championship in 1991 and 1992 with it.

Today the Extra 260 can be found mainly in the model flight scene .
