The Extra 230 is a single-seat aerobatic aircraft designed by Walter Extra .

history

This machine made its maiden flight in July 1983. Successes with this model were a third place at the European aerobatic championship in 1985. These machines were either completely assembled by the manufacturer or sent to the customers as a kit.

construction

The wings are made of pine wood . The fuselage consists of a tubular steel frame, which is clad with aluminum and Dacron . The wing has an angle of 0 °, the wings have no curvature except for the leading edge . The landing gear is rigidly attached to the fuselage. All rudders can be adjusted up to an angle of 52 °. The rear aileron occupies ¾ the trailing edge of the wing .
