Ezequiel Alejo Carboni (born April 4, 1979 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine football player .

Carboni started his career at CA Lanús , an association in Buenos Aires . From 2005 to 2008 he played for Red Bull Salzburg . Due to his commitment and his willingness to fight, he quickly became a crowd favorite in Salzburg and was voted Player of the 2005/06 season by the fans. The Salzburg fans called him “fighting pig” because of his commitment and his position as a defensive midfielder there. Ezequiel Carboni moved from Red Bull Salzburg to Catania Calcio in Italy in June 2008 . The Argentine, who also has an Italian passport, signed a three-year contract.
