Félix-Jacques Moulin
Félix-Jacques Antoine Moulin (* 1802 , † 1869 ) was a French photographer who is considered particularly productive and enterprising. His studio was in the Rue Faubourg-Montmartre and later in the Rue Richer in Paris . In the Almanach-Bottin, an address book for industry and trade, it was mentioned from 1851 to 1869.
In 1853 it was the first Parisian photographer to deliver a series of nudes to the Bibliothèque Nationale . His works, with which he emerged alongside his nude photographs, include portraits, architecture and landscape studies as well as ethnographic photographs that were taken during a trip to Algeria in 1856 and 1857. He also excelled with his genre scenes; These differed from the work of his contemporaries such as André Adolphe-Eugène Disdéri and Charles Nègre in that he did not find his motifs on the street, but recreated them in the studio in an elaborate and detailed manner (e.g. painter at work ).
