Felix Cogen
Félix Cogen (born February 21, 1838 in Sint-Niklaas , † March 9, 1907 in Brussels ) was a Belgian genre, portrait and marine painter as well as engraver and etcher.
Cogen studied at the Koninklijke Acaďemie voor Schone Kunsten van Gent with Théodore-Joseph Canneel and Félix De Vigne.
After completing his studies, he often visited the artists' colony of Sint-Martens-Latem and became a member of the Latemse School artist group .
He exhibited from 1875 in the Paris Salon of the Société des Artistes Français and in 1880 in Ghent as well as at the Belgian art exhibition in Brussels.
He was the uncle of the painter Anna De Weert .
Félix Cogen was made a Knight of the Legion of Honor in 1883 .
