Félix Picon, who sailed for the Cercle de la Voile d'Arcachon , took part in the 1920 Olympic Games in Antwerp , where he was crew member of the Rose Pompon under skipper Albert Weil alongside Robert Monier . The only competitor in the regatta was the Dutch boat Oranje owned by skipper Joop Carp . Since the Rose Pompon was delayed due to problems with customs, the first of three races was not held. The second and third races were won by the Orange , so that Picon, Monier and Weil received the silver medal.

Picon's father was a wine merchant, whom he later followed to the Bordeaux region .
