Félix Welkenhuysen (born December 12, 1908 in Saint-Gilles , † April 20, 1980 ) was a Belgian football player on the position of a defender .
career
society
Welkenhuysen was only active at Royale Union Saint-Gilloise . Between 1926 and 1943 he scored nine goals in 245 games. He was part of the legendary Union 60 , which remained unbeaten in 60 consecutive league games in the First Division between January 1933 and February 1935 . During this period he won the Belgian championship three times in a row with his club.
National team
In 1934 Welkenhuysen played four games for the Belgian national team in which he was unsuccessful. He was in the Belgian squad for the 1934 World Cup , in which he was used in the game against Germany (2: 5).
