Federation of Austrian Psychological Associations

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Federation of Austrian Psychologists' Associations is an amalgamation of the Austrian Society for Psychology and the Professional Association of Austrian Psychologists . It represents Austrian psychology primarily in international organizations, for example the International Union of Psychological Science. The reason is that in many international organizations only one association per country can be a member and therefore the science society and the professional association had to create a joint umbrella company ( see also Federation of German Psychological Associations ). The Federation was accepted into the International Union of Psychological Science as part of the International Congress in Montreal in 1996.
