Location of the Führer headquarters

The Fuehrer's headquarters in Wasserburg was a bunker facility built by the Todt Organization and built near Pleskau ( Russian : Pskov) in the Soviet Union during World War II .

The complex, known as the moated castle, was built as a leader's headquarters advanced towards the front , around four kilometers northwest of Pleskau on a loop of the Velikaya river , from November 1, 1942. The center of the complex was an old mansion-like mansion.

The facility was never used by Hitler as the Fuehrer's headquarters, but was only used briefly by Army Group North as military headquarters after completion .
