Five apsid church
A five-apse church is a church with five apses . The apses are often irregularly distributed over several sides of the building, unlike the three- apse church , where all apses are typically on one side of the building, and the tetraconchos , where there is one apse on each side.
These include, for example:
- The five-apse church in the western district of the city of Kherson , 8th to 9th centuries
- The five-apse church of Müstair with a three-apse hall as the main room and two annexes, one in the north as an entrance from the episcopal residence and one in the south for the monks.
