Pentagonal tower (Weißenburg)
The five-cornered tower is part of the town fortifications of Weißenburg in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen .
It is located near the Ellinger Tor and the Doerflervilla on Schulhausstrasse and has the address Froschgasse 7. Like the entire old town of Weißenburg, it is a listed building . The pentagonal tower was part of the Weißenburger Zwinger and is one of the 38 still preserved towers of the city wall . The tower is also called the powder tower. It is located on the north wall. The tower was built in 1469.
