Fātima bint Mūsā , also Fāṭima al-Maʿṣūma ( Arabic فاطمة بنت موسى الكاظم, DMG Fāṭima bt. Mūsā al-Kāẓim ; Persian فاطمه معصومه, DMG Fāṭeme-ye Maʿṣūme ; * 790 in Medina ; † 817 in Qom ), was the sister of the eighth Imam , ʿAlī ibn Mūsā ar-Ridā , and daughter of the seventh Imam. She traveled to East Iran to visit her brother. On the way, she fell ill near the city of Saveh and died in Qom. In biographies she is often equated with the daughter of the prophet, Fatima . She became one of the most important saints in Iran .

In the Shiite tradition, the “holy Fātima” (Hażrat-e Maʿsūme) are assigned various attributes such as “the sinless”, “the untouched” and also miracles that she is said to have performed. Her burial place was transformed into a magnificent sanctuary from 869/70 over the centuries . The golden dome of its huge mausoleum is now the symbol of Qom.
