F.LM was a German online film magazine , it appeared from 2001 to the end of 2011. Initially, F.LM was published as a print edition with four issues per year. From 2003 the magazine was only available online. F.LM was the first German-language film magazine devoted to film and its paratexts (film books, soundtracks, film literature, video games based on film, etc.).

description

F.LM saw itself as an academic and cinematic film magazine that did not exclusively deal with current film productions. In addition to text reviews of various film media and film paratexts, it offered interviews, audio and video podcasts, video documentaries and a news ticker with news from the film industry as well as film, media and cultural studies.

F.LM published periodically essays on film history and film studies by various guest authors. The texts by F.LM were published in the spirit of a media partnership with Der Schnitt , Splatting Image , Filmzentrale and the online film database , among others . The F.LM archive contains all issues of the Jena film magazine frame 25 - Die Filmzeitschrift , published between 1997 and 2000 .

The editorial team at F.LM was based in Berlin and consisted of the editor-in-chief Stefan Höltgen and the editors Jochen Werner (Berlin), Oliver Nöding (Düsseldorf) and Matthias Huber (Munich). In addition, around 20 freelancers and authors provided reviews, essays, reviews and festival reports. F.LM reported regularly from the Berlinale , the Fantasy Filmfest and the Pornfilmfestival Berlin .
