Company history

The company was founded in 1997 in Qujing . The company states March 20th, but another source states May 27th. The China FAW Group and the Hongta Group are involved. The production of automobiles began. The vehicles are sold under the brand names FAW and Jiefang of the FAW Group and as Lanjian . The focus is on commercial vehicles . In the past, passenger cars were also made . In 2018, 2384 people were employed.

Car

In September 2003, appeared minivan FAW Hongta Xinfu Shizhe based on the Daihatsu Move . FAW Huali (Tianjin) Motor also made this model. 1759 vehicles of this model were built in 2006 and 1955 the following year.

In 2006 the FAW Hongta Zifoufeng II , also called Free Wind II , was added. Its basis was the Mitsubishi Space Gear .
