The FBA Type A was a biplane flying boat from Donnet-Lévêque type, which before and during the First World War in France was produced. It was also called FBA Leveque .
History and construction
A seven-cylinder rotary motor was suspended between the wings and drove a propeller in a pusher configuration . The hull was made of wood and was divided into eight chambers. The flying boat was a two-seater and was used for reconnaissance. The seats for the pilot and observer were arranged side by side.
Before the war, twelve flying boats were delivered to Austria-Hungary and six to Denmark . The United Kingdom ordered a total of 42, Russia ten and Italy had twenty, some of which were stationed on the aircraft mother ship Europa . Other flying boats served Franco-British Aviation for flight training.
