The FC Cessange Bracanenses Grund 2001 , often only known as FC CeBra 01 or FC Cebra , is a Luxembourg football club based in the Cessingen district ( German : Zessingen ; French : Cessange) in the capital Luxembourg .
history
The club was founded in 2001 from the merger of the two clubs FC Progres Cessingen and FC Bracarense Grund . The majority of the players to this day are mainly of Portuguese and Cape Verdian origin.
In the 2004/05 season they reached the final of the Coupe de Luxembourg , which they lost in front of 2,801 spectators at the Stade Josy Barthel in Luxembourg City against CS Pétange with 0: 5. From 2005 to 2008 the club also played in the second-rate honorary doctorate .
Stadion
The club plays its home games on the “Boy Konen” sports complex (Complex Sportif). However, this is only a grass pitch with a small wooden stand. The club shares the field of around 1000 spectators with league rivals AS Luxemburg / Porto . Next door is another artificial turf pitch, which is mostly used by young people.
