The FC Kakheti Telavi ( Georgia კახეთი თელავი , English Kakheti Telavi ) was a Georgian football club from Telavi and played at times in the top division of Georgia , the umaglesi liga . The club color is green and black.
General
The association was founded in 1936. After the collapse of the Soviet Union , the club rose to the highest Georgian league for the first time in 1992. There the team took eighth place. In the following years the club always fought against relegation. In the 1995/96 season, the team had to go to the second division .
It was not until 2005 that the club played first class again. In 2007 came relegation again. Since the beginning of the 2007/08 season, the club has been back in the country's second-highest division. The home of the club is the Municipal Stadium , which can accommodate 12,000 spectators.
