FC Kastoria or AGS Kastoria ( Greek ΑΓΣ Καστοριάς - Αθλητικός και Γυμναστικός Σύλλογος Καστοριάς AGS Kastoria - Athlitikos ke Gymnastikos Syllogos Kastorias , German about sports and gymnastics club Kastoria ) is a Greek football club from the Macedonian town of Kastoria . The club won the Greek Cup in 1980 .

history

The club was created in 1963 through the merger of the local clubs Aris , Atromitos and Orestias . 1975 succeeded in promotion to the highest Greek league, the Super League . They stayed there until 1983 and reached the top class again for the 1997/1998 season.

In 1980 they won the Greek Football Cup with a 5-2 in the final against Iraklis Thessaloniki . The Greek Super Cup that same year was lost 3: 4 to Olympiacos Piraeus . In the 1980/81 season they did not survive the first round in the European Cup Winners' Cup and were eliminated 0-0 and 0-2 against Dinamo Tbilisi .

In 1996 Minas Hantzidis played for half a year in Kastoria with the Γουναράδες, the furriers at Lake Kastoria .
