The FC Kirchberg BE is a Swiss football club from Kirchberg BE . The entire club currently consists of 16 teams. These include a successful women's and an exemplary junior department. The 1st team has played interregional in the 2nd league since the 2015/16 season.
history
The club was founded on October 24, 1924 by twelve football fans. Orange and black were chosen as the club colors. These club colors are still valid today. The 1st team has since fluctuated mostly between the 2nd and 3rd league. For some time now, however, she has been able to remain relatively stable in the middle of the 2nd division. In the 2014/2015 season, the team surprisingly rose. The association has around 400 members (as of 2015)
Birch ring
FC Kirchberg BE plays its home games on the Birkenring sports field. In addition, the club has an artificial turf field , which was renovated in 2012, as well as two training fields .
Occasions
The association organizes various events and activities every year. On the first weekend after the end of the championship in June, there is always a big Grümpel tournament on the Birkenring sports field. Every year almost 100 different teams register in various categories. Another highlight is Tailoring Sunday. At this village festival, the association organizes a brasserie and a bar every year. Since 2009, a blitz tournament has been held at the end of July. In addition to the first team, two other teams take part. So far these have been FC Münsingen, SC Düdingen, FC Muri, FC Langenthal and the U-21s of BSC YB.
