The football club Neureut 08 eV is a sports club from the Karlsruhe district of Neureut . It consists of the football , tennis and gymnastics departments .

history

Soccer

The club was founded in 1908 as FC Alemannia Teutschneureut in the Gasthaus zur Traube . The sport of football was practiced on the Karlsruhe parade ground. In 1913 the company merged with FV Hertha Teutschneureut, founded in 1909. However, it was not until 1934 that the current name was agreed and the club colors black, blue and white were adopted. In 1926, however, some members split off again and founded the VfR Neureut. On November 1st, 1935 Welschneureut is incorporated into Teutschneureut, the place is now called "Neureut (Baden)".

In 1937 the club failed in the promotion round to the Gauliga Baden . 1946 to 1948 one played in the Landesliga Nordbaden. In 1954 they won the relay championship of the 2nd amateur league and rose to the 1st amateur league in North Baden . After relegation in 1956, the return to the 1st amateur league was achieved in 1958. This class could be held until 1964. In 1959 the club won the North Baden Cup . After rising again in 1967 they played again in the 1st amateur league until 1976. In recent years the club has only been represented in the lower divisions of the Badischer Fußballverband.

tennis

In 1947 the TTC Neureut was founded. On January 1, 1950, the new division joined FC Neureut 08. The greatest sporting successes in 1999 were the promotion of the 1st men's team to the 2nd Bundesliga and the 1st women's team to the Regionalliga-Süd. On February 29, 2000, FC Neureut 08 left and TTC Karlsruhe-Neureut was founded . A tennis department will continue to exist.

gymnastics

The gymnastics department was founded in 1995 by the old men (AH).

In 2008, the 100th anniversary of the association was celebrated in the Badnerlandhalle Karlsruhe. A commemorative publication was also published for this purpose.
