The TTC Karlsruhe-Neureut is a table tennis club from Neureut (Karlsruhe) . The men's team played in the Bundesliga in 2002/03 .

timeline

The roots lie with the FC Neureut club, founded in 1908 . On May 1, 2000, his table tennis department went into business with the head of department Hans-Joachim Kugel and founded the independent association TTC Karlsruhe-Neureut .

Men's

The men's team reached the 2nd Bundesliga South in 1999 under the club name FC Neureut . After finishing seventh twice, she became champions in 2002 with Geir Erlandsen, Alfredo Carneros, Daniel Zwickl, Nico Christ , Georg Böhm , Norbert Mnich and Adewale Bamidele and rose to the 1st Bundesliga . Here, thanks to extensive reinforcements and the Swedish coach Anders Johansson, she managed to stay in eighth place.

In 2003 the TTC Karlsruhe-Neureut merged with the Bundesliga club DJK Offenburg to form the new club TTC Karlsruhe-Neureut / DJK Offenburg . The top players of the two clubs joined the new club, the remaining players and teams continued to play at their original clubs. Due to financial problems and discrepancies between the original clubs, the new club ended up in last place in 2003/04. He then decided not to start in the 2nd Bundesliga.

Ladies

The women's team rose several times in the 1990s and reached the Baden League in 1996 with Rose Diebold , Beate Mojska, Steffi Stingl, Petra Geißler and Jennifer Hartley (Australia). In 2000 she won the line-up of Edit Urbán (Hungary), Szonja Szigeti, Maria Schuller, Dagmar Solja-Andruszko and Rose Diebold champions of the Regionalliga Süd and was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga. Here she had to relegate again immediately in 2000/01 as bottom of the table.

2010/11 season

8 men's teams, 2 women's teams and a total of 6 youth teams are currently participating in the game.
