The FC Traben-Trarbach is a German football club based in the Rhineland-Palatinate town of Traben-Trarbach within the municipality of the same name in the district of Bernkastel-Wittlich .
history
Time in the national league
The club rose to the 1950/51 season in the then second-rate Landesliga Rheinland . In the season south, the sixth place could be achieved with 25:27 points. After the next season, the national league was dissolved and the third-class amateur league was introduced. However, only the first four clubs of the season south qualified for this, but the club did not achieve this average, which means that it had to compete in the 2nd amateur league from the next season.
Current time
In the 2002/03 season, the club played within a SG with a club from the Bad Wildstein district in the district league A Mosel , but with 24 points the team rose to twelfth place at the end of the season. With 55 points, the second place could then be retracted at the end of the 2004/05 season, with which the team was able to rise back to the district league A. With only 17 points, being bottom of the table, it went down again the next season. Once again in second place, the next promotion succeeded after the 2008/09 season. At 54, he even managed to get second place, which allowed him to move up directly to the district league. However, they couldn't hold out for long here, with 26 points they went down over the penultimate place after one season. After a few seasons belonging to the district league A, you then had to leave it after the 2013/14 season with only 15 points in the direction of the district league B. In the following season, however, they placed themselves back in second place with 57 points and were able to return directly to the district league A after a first place in the promotion round. In this you could then hold on until the 2016/17 season, after which you had to relegate bottom of the table again. Here, however, the championship and the rise again succeed immediately. Thus the team still plays in the district league A to this day.
