The FC Viktoria 09 Urberach is a football club from southern Hesse Urberach , a district of 28,000 people town of Rödermark .
history
The association was founded in 1909. In 1914 Viktoria took part in the league for the first time. In the 1930/31 season , the southern Hessians made the leap into the first class for the first time, when three years later the Gauligen were introduced as the new top division, the Viktoria was not taken into account as table tenth of the 1932/33 season and from then on played again at regional level.
At the end of the 1950s, Viktoria played in the highest amateur class, the 1st Amateur League Hesse. In the promotion season of 1957/58, the team was sensationally runner-up with Bad Homburg, and with runner Reinhardt Nostadt, left winger Raimund “Jim” Groh, center forward Günter Dutiné and young talent and right winger Oskar Lotz , four Viktoria players were appointed to the Hessen team. The crowning glory of the season was the Hessen Cup . But the soaring was short-lived, as early as 1961, the Viktoria rose again from the Hessian amateur upper house.
After several years in the Darmstadt Ost district league, Viktoria rose under player-coach Uwe Kuhl (former Bundesliga player from SV Darmstadt 98) in 1997/98 to the Darmstadt district league (now group league), from which, however, two years later they were relegated. Under the new player-coach Frank Grimm, 2001/02 was promoted back to the regional league. Also under Frank Grimm and Frank Dubanec, promotion to the Hessian Landesliga Süd (now Verbandsliga Süd ) took place in 2004/05 . The sporting highlight of the last few years was the promotion to the Oberliga Hessen in the 2007/08 season (2nd place behind Kickers Offenbach U23) under coach Thomas Epp .
Since the 2013/14 season, the Association League team has been looked after by the former Viktoria player Max Martin. In 2016 Viktoria managed to return to the Hessenliga, from which she was relegated in 2017.
In the following 2017/18 season, the league was only made perfect on the last match day with a 3-1 home win against FC Alsbach.

Stadion
The home ground of FC Viktoria is the "Urberacher Waldstadion" on Traminer Straße, which can hold 2200 spectators. 200 of the 2200 seats are covered seats. In the main stand there are several booths as well as a multipurpose room where press conferences and various events take place. In addition, the Waldstadion has a club restaurant, 4 tennis courts with a tennis restaurant, a children's playground and a training ground with floodlights.
Youth work
In the current season, the club has A, B and C youth. The remaining youth teams from the D to the G youth play at district level.
