The FC Zvartnots Yerevan was an Armenian football club from Yerevan .

history

Founded in 1997, the club achieved its first notable result in the second highest division ( called First League in Armenia ) in 1998 when they won the league and were promoted to Bardsragujn chumb . From 2000 the club played with the addition of the Armenian airline as Zvartnots-AAL. For a few years, Zvartnots should become one of the main contenders for the championship. In their first season of the first division they finished fourth, while in 2001 they even finished second behind FC Pyunik Yerevan and thus qualified for the 2002/03 UEFA Cup . But there they lost to the Slovenian club NK Primorje with 1: 6 and 2: 0.

In the 2003 season they would still have been among the clubs of the Premier League, but they withdrew before the start of the season and have since ceased playing.
