The ArrowCopter AC20 is a gyrocopter from the Austrian manufacturer FD-Composites from Zeillern in Amstetten .

construction

The seats are arranged in tandem, with the rear seat slightly elevated. A Rotax 914 UL with an output of 115  PS (85  kW ) PS provides propulsion. The pressure propeller is an in-house development by FD-Composites GmbH. The cell consists of a self-supporting carbon fiber structure in monocoque construction. The wings have three functions: tank, landing gear and lift force. The lift force corresponds roughly to the weight of the entire fuel during cruise.

The gyroplane has had an Austrian type certificate since autumn 2012 and a German one since July 2013. We are working on approvals in other countries (as of May 2013). On March 31, 2014, the production site was destroyed by fire. On August 11, 2015, the company filed for bankruptcy with liabilities of EUR 2.86 million.

A kit is available in countries such as the USA or Switzerland. In these countries gyroplanes are only allowed to be flown if they were built by yourself.
