Johann Thomas Nissler

Johann Thomas Nissler (* 1713 ; † 1769 , also Nißler ) was a German builder .

Act

Among other things, he worked for Balthasar Neumann at the Basilica Vierzehnheiligen in Bad Staffelstein .
He also built the St. Egidius Church in Frauendorf and the St. Georg Church in Berndorf . He also built the choir and the tower of the Maria-pain pilgrimage church in Ebensfeld . The baroque extension of the Banz monastery complex was also designed by Nissler, who worked here with Sebastian Weber. He built the Kreuzkapelle in the Isling district of Lichtenfels . In Zapfendorf the choir tower of the parish church was built between 1766 and 1768 under his direction. Stylistically, Nissler often leaned on the Basilica Vierzehnheiligen (e.g. St. Giles in Frauendorf ). Nissler died in 1769.
