The FEBS Letters are a scientific journal published by Wiley on behalf of the Association of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS) . The first issue appeared in July 1968. The magazine appears in some months with two, in others with three issues. The topics that are published in the journal are broad. In addition to biochemistry (including protein chemistry, enzymes , nucleic acids , metabolism and immunochemistry), structural biology , biophysics , genomics , proteomics , bioinformatics, molecular genetics, molecular biology , molecular cell biology (including signal transduction , intracellular traffic, regulation of cellular proliferation, cellular Cell interactions) and systems biology on the subject areas of the FEBS letters.
The impact factor in 2014 was 3.169. According to the statistics of the ISI Web of Knowledge , the journal with this impact factor ranks 112th out of 289 journals in the biochemistry and molecular biology category , 25th out of 73 journals in the biophysics and 100th in the cell biology category 184 magazines.
