The Soccer Society 1908 Mutterstadt eV is a soccer club based in the municipality of Mutterstadt in the Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis .
history
20th century
The association was founded in 1908. The first playing field was built on the foal pasture . The first growth of the association was then stopped by the outbreak of the First World War. In the 1927/28 season the team was able to celebrate the Gaume Championship. A few years later, he was promoted to the district league. Game operations were stopped in 1943 as a result of the Second World War. The association was re-established as early as 1946. Already in the first year there was a first attempt for promotion to the state league. In the decisive game against the team from Mundenheim , however, there was only a 1: 1 in the end, so the promotion was not made. But at least in the 1947/48 season, the team then played in the Landesliga Vorderpfalz , which was then the second level of the league. After this season the club rose again with 13:39 points over the 13th place. In 1948, the A-Jugend was also able to become Pfalzmeister again. After the 1968/69 season, another relegation had to be accepted. After the 1990/91 season, the team was even relegated to the B-Class. In August 1993, a new sports park was also opened.
21st century
In the 2003/04 season the team entered the district league Vorderpfalz . At the end of the season, the club placed twelfth with 37 points. After the 2006/07 season, the championship title was celebrated with 73 points. In the first season after promotion to the Landesliga Ost, the league could still be held in 14th place with 31 points. But already after the 2008/09 season, with the 16th and last place, the relegation to the district league was due again. After the following season, the club even slipped into relegation at the end of the season. The game against TuS Billigheim / Mühlhofen was then won 3-1, which kept the class. After that in the 2010/11 season the third place at the end of the season was achieved. Was the team allowed to participate in a playoff for the second promotion place. The game against VfR Kandel , who was runner-up in the league , was lost 4-0. To this day the club still plays in the district league .
A B-Junior team then competed in December 2008 at the Meckle Cup in Pirmasens . On January 12, 2014, a B-Junior team also took part in a tournament.
