FH Complete is a university information system that was developed in 2004 by the system development department of the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien . The goal was and is the programming of free software specially adapted to the administrative needs of educational institutions and its further development.

history

Since in 2004 there was no suitable administration software for universities of applied sciences in Austria for their own requirements (curriculum, timetable, official registration regulations, etc.), the UAS Technikum Wien decided to develop a corresponding software itself in 2004. The in-house developments were licensed as free software in order to offer other educational institutions the possibility of cooperation.

Since September 2008, FH Complete or individual modules of it has been used in several educational institutions that are involved in the further development of the software. In addition to the UAS Technikum Wien, users include:

A relational database is used to store the data ( PostgreSQL ). The program and its components are licensed under the GPL (General Public License) and allow access via a browser . Open standards are used, which is why the software is 100% free and independent.
