FIBA Diamond Ball

The FIBA Diamond Ball is one of the FIBA been transferred Basketball Competition for national teams. The tournaments take place every four years in the same year as the Olympic Games . It serves as a preparatory tournament for the participating teams and as a dress rehearsal for the host.

In addition to the host nation, the reigning continental champions and the current world champions also take part. The field of participants is completed by the host nation of the Olympic Games. The teams of the United States are excluded from participation , provided they are reigning America champions .
