Field block

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A field block is a contiguous, agriculturally usable area, which is surrounded by recognizable external boundaries in nature (e.g. forest, roads, built-up area, water, ditches). A field block can be managed by one or more farmers. Each field block has a nationwide 16-digit area identifier (FLIK).

The field block was introduced as part of the agricultural land register (LFK) as a new system for identifying land in several federal states in Germany as part of the EU agricultural reform (GAP) between 2005 and 2006. It comprises one or more agricultural parcels or fields. In some federal states of Germany, these parcels are identified via the field block, in other federal states, however, via the parcel .

For 2007 the landscape elements (LE) were also digitized as an area and were given the designation FLEK. In the explanations for this it says u. a .: "Thus a LE has a FL E K and a field block a FL I K."
