The FSC Lohfelden (full name: 1. Fußball Sport-Club Lohfelden 1924 ) is a football club from Lohfelden , which is an independent department of the FSK Lohfelden ( Free Sports and Cultural Community Lohfelden eV ). Most recently, the club played in the fifth-class Hessen League before withdrawing his team from this for financial reasons.

history

The club was founded in 1924 as TSV Crumbach, dissolved after the end of World War II in 1945 and re-established as FSK Lohfelden. From this, the FSC Lohfelden emerged in 1946 and is still a separate department of the FSK Lohfelden to this day.

The club's first major success was celebrated in 1968 with promotion to the Hessian state league . After an immediate relegation, the FSC Lohfelden was finally able to assert itself in this from 1971. In 1992 he was promoted to the Oberliga Hessen for the first time , in which the club played except for the seasons 2001/2002, 2003-2007 and 2009-2011 to 2019.

In 2010 a new covered grandstand with more than 900 seats was opened in the North Hesse Stadium. This increased the stadium's capacity from 3,500 to 7,000 spectators.
