The Bad Orb football sports club is a football club from Bad Orb in the Main-Kinzig district in Hesse, founded in 1921 .

history

The club was founded in 1921 as the "Youth Sports Club Bad Orb" and two years later it was renamed SV Bad Orb. In 1925 the championship could be won in the district class C and in 1929 the promotion to the district class A followed. Four years later they became champions here.

After the new beginning in 1945, it was integrated into TuS Bad Orb, which was dissolved five years later. The club got its current name FSV Bad Orb.

1955 could be played for one year in the 2. Amateur League Frankfurt. In the 1960s, people commuted between the A-League and B-League. 1974/75 the team made the promotion to the Frankfurt district class perfect.

The most successful year was 1978. First the promotion to the Landesliga Süd succeeded and in the DFB-Pokal they had qualified for the first main round. Against the then third division club from the Oberliga Nord, VfL Wolfsburg , you had to admit defeat 1: 3.

In 1987 the team had to leave the national league again. After being relegated from the Gelnhausen regional league in 2013/14 , the team played in the Gelnhausen regional league from then on. After winning the championship, the club has been back in the Gelnhausen regional league since the 2015/16 season. After two years in the highest Gelnhausen division, FSV 1921 Bad Orb was able to make promotion to the group league Frankfurt Ost perfect via relegation.
