The FSV Laer was a sports club from the Bochum district of Laer . The first soccer team once took part in the German championship of the Workers' Gymnastics and Sports Association (ATSB).

history

Nothing is known about the foundation and origin of the association. In 1926 the FSV qualified as West German district champion for the German ATSB championship . There the team initially prevailed 6: 4 at TSV Bettenhausen in Kassel . In the final of the Northwest German Championship, the Laerer defeated SV Weser 08 Bremen in Bochum 2-1. In the semi-finals at the Reich level, the FSV met defending champion Dresdner SV 10 and lost 3: 5. It should remain the only participation of FSV Laer in the ATSB championship. In 1933 the club was after the seizure of power of the Nazis banned and dissolved. The further fate of the club is unknown.
