society
The FSV Treuen was founded in 1945 under the name SG Treuen . The initially loose sports group acted in 1948/49 for one season in the Landesliga Sachsen ( SBZ ), which was finished after only three season points with the last rank.
With the entry of the Progress Sports Association , the SG subsequently took on the role of Progress Treuen ; another change in the sponsoring company did not follow until 1990. In 1972, together with Chemie Glauchau , they were promoted to the Karl-Marx-Stadt district league for the first time . The GDR's third-highest division at the time held progress Treuen with secured midfield positions until 1983, and in the 1983/84 season, Treuen rose again to the fourth-class district division with local rivals Progress Falkenstein .
In 1990 the association was renamed Rot-Weiß Treuen . As early as 1992, the football department was separated from SV Rot-Weiß and has since appeared as FSV Treuen . On a sporting level, the FSV Treuen plays exclusively in local West Saxon football. The current division has been the Vogtland district league since its promotion in 2015 .
