Stefan Persigehl

Stefan Persigehl (born January 31, 1962 in Trieb ) is a former German soccer player.

Athletic career

Stefan Persigehl comes from the junior division of BSG Progress Treuen . In 1980 he moved from Vogtland to FC Karl-Marx-Stadt , for which he was active in the GDR league from 1981 . With the Himmelblauen he reached the FDGB Cup final twice in 1983 and 1989 , which were lost to 1. FC Magdeburg (0: 4) and BFC Dynamo (0: 1).

In 1990 the striker moved to Wismut Aue , but had to relegate to the GDR league with the Erzgebirge . In the subsequent second division season Persigehl scored 22 goals in 29 games, the result was a move to Bundesliga club Hansa Rostock . Persigehl also relegated with FC Hansa, but stayed with the Hanseatic League for three seasons in the 2nd Bundesliga .

In the period that followed, Persigehl only played amateur games, after stints at VfB Auerbach and 1. FC Greiz , he ended his career at SV Fronberg Schreiersgrün . In the 2006/07 season, Persigehl replaced Tino Vogel as head coach at VFC Plauen on the second match day , but after differences with the club's management announced his resignation in March 2007.

After another year in Schreiersgrün Persigehl worked as a player- coach at VfB Schöneck, where, after two promotions in four years, he signed on with Reichenbacher FC in summer 2012 , which had just been relegated from the district league to the Vogtland league . Persigehl managed to lead the team to direct promotion and the following year to third place in the district league. In 2015 he made it to the national league .

Persigehl was active as an informant for the Ministry of State Security from 1983.
