The club was created in 1919 through the merger of the two Falkensteiner clubs FC Falkenstein and BC Falkenstein . The new club was called Spielvereinigung Falkenstein . The club acted in the championship of the Association of Central German Ball Game Clubs and dominated next to 1. FC Reichenbach the Gau Göltzschtal , in which six championships were won between 1923 and 1930.
Through the championships, the club qualified for the Central German Football Championship . At the championships, the team from Falkenstein never got past the second round. From 1931 the club entered the Vogtland region . After they had already won six championship titles in Gau Göltzschtal , they were able to achieve the greatest success in the club's history with the championship title in Gau Vogtland . This season they left the established teams of VFC Plauen , SuBC Plauen and Konkordia Plauen behind and were able to qualify for the first season in the Gauliga Sachsen .
In the Gauliga Sachsen the club had no chance and could only win two games and play a draw in the 1933/34 season . With this meager point yield, the club descends from the Gauliga together with the Chemnitz BC 1899 and the 1st Vogtland FC Plauen . In the eternal table of the Gauliga Sachsen occupy the 22nd place and are thus the third worst team that has ever played in the Gauliga Sachsen
After the Second World War , the association, like all other associations in the Soviet occupation zone , was dissolved.

BSG progress Falkenstein
history
After the game association Falkenstein was dissolved, an unofficial successor was founded in Falkenstein with the SG Falkenstein . The sports group initially took part in the regional league West Saxony ( SBZ ). In 1951, the sports group was reorganized into a company sports community and since then has been called BSG Progress Falkenau .
For the 1965/66 season, the team from Falkenstein was able to move up to the Karl-Marx-Stadt district league , the third-highest league in GDR football at the time . The club was divided into the second season and was only able to collect 18:38 points during the season and together with the BSG Lokomotive Zwickau and the BSG unit Auerbach descend into the district class.
The BSG progress Falkenstein succeeded again in the 1970/71 season. At that time the district league Karl-Marx-Stadt was single track. With tenth place and 25:35 points, the club was able to achieve relegation in the district league for the first time. In the 1972/73 season, the team from Falkenstein was able to confirm their performance from the previous season with ninth place and 28:32 points.
For the 1973/74 season, the sponsoring company of the company sports association changed , where the team now ran under the name BSG Motor Falkenstein . In contrast to the two previous seasons, the Falkensteiner team had to fight relegation again. At the end of the season they finished third from last with 20:40 points and had to relegate to the district class together with BSG Motor Brand Langenau and BSG Motor Annaberg.
The carrier company changed again after the section, so that the team started again under the name BSG Motor Falkenstein after the promotion in the 1983/84 season. In the double-track district league Karl-Marx-Stadt , the BSG was sorted into the first season. The team finished the season on 11:33 points in last place and had to relegate straight back to the district class. Until the reunification, the team from Falkenstein did not succeed again in the district league.
After the fall of the Wall in the GDR and German reunification , the BSG Progress Falkenstein had to adapt to the new circumstances. For this reason, BSG progress Falkenstein was reorganized into the gymnastics and sports club Falkenstein , or TuS Falkenstein for short .

SpVgg Falkenstein
One year after the founding of TuS Falkenstein, the football department decided to leave the sports club and found a pure football club. As a name for this club, they used the name of the historical SpVgg Falkenstein. Since the football club was founded, the first team has played in local Vogtland football without exception.
