The Plauener Sport und Ballspielclub was a German football club from Plauen that existed between 1919 and 1945.
society
The Plauener SuBC was created in 1919 from a merger of Plauener BC with Apelles Plauen . The club acted from the mid-1920s in the championship of the Association of Central German Ball Game Clubs , but regularly failed in the round of 16 at Dresdner SC , VfB Leipzig and SV Brandenburg 01 Dresden .
The greatest success in the club's history was the Central German Football Cup won in 1932 , which West Saxony won with a 4-0 final victory over Wacker Halle . The SuBC qualified for the German championship 1931/32 , in which Plauen in the Rote Erde stadium was defeated by FC Schalke 04 4: 5 a.s. in the round of 16. In the 1932/33 season, the SuBC penetrated again into the quarter-finals of the Central German Cup, but had to admit defeat to the later finalists Polizei-SV Chemnitz .
In 1933 the Vogtlanders qualified for the newly created Gauliga Sachsen , one of the sixteen highest German leagues at the time. However, the league was only held two seasons, as early as 1935 the SuBC rose again together with VfB Glauchau . In the period that followed, the club was unable to return to the Saxon Gauliga. While the club's history continued with the local rivals VFC Plauen and Konkordia Plauen in the GDR, the SuBC initially remained with the dissolution of 1945. The club was deleted from the register of associations in 1949 by order of the state police authority (Dresden) on March 2, 1949 and the property confiscated.
Follow-up club
In December 2012, Plauen football fans founded the association as S p re UBC, not least to preserve the pre-war history. Quite a few veterans joined the club, so that the team did not go into the race without hope. SpuBC completed its first test match on July 14, 2013 at FSV Viktoria Hof (2: 2). In its first district cup game in the Vogtland Football Association, SpuBC defeated 1. FC Ranch Plauen 3-2 in the first round on July 27, 2013. The SpuBC Plauen started with the point game operation in the 1st district class of the Vogtland Football Association (11th league).
