FV 1897 Linden
The football club 1897 Linden is a sports club in the Hanover district of Linden-Süd . It was founded on September 2, 1897. Originally, it was a rugby club (rugby was then also known as "football"). Like many rugby clubs from Hanover, Linden was able to win the German championship title several times in 1897 , most recently in 1978. However, the rugby department no longer exists. Instead, the sports are dancing , gymnastics , children's gymnastics , Nordic walking and American football ( Hannover Grizzlies ) offered. The club colors are blue-white-orange.

- 1932: Final 6: 5 against RG Heidelberg in Hanover
- 1937: Final 32:11 against RG Heidelberg in Hanover
- 1940: Final 19: 6 against Eintracht Frankfurt in Hanover
- 1978: Final 24:16 against TSV Handschuhsheim in Berlin

- 1934: Final 3: 8 against VfR Döhren in Hanover
- 1980: Final 10:16 against RG Heidelberg in Frankfurt / M.

- 1911: Final of the German championship. Since the North German champions were determined too late, the South German champions SC Frankfurt 1880 did not want to compete, the final was not played.
