Faaborg system ship

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Faaborg System Ship ( Faaborg System Ship , FSS ) is a modular support ship type , that of the Danish Faaborg Værft has been developed and built. The German Waterways and Shipping Authorities (WSA) have been using ships of this type since 2009.

concept

With the consistently modular concept, the customer can adapt the work ship to the respective requirement profile from various stern, drive, living space, working deck and bow modules. The modules are offered in ship widths of 5.0 m, 8.0 m and 9.5 m. The shipyard states that the maximum ship length is 50 m as the tried and tested upper value.

Furnishing

With types I A and II A, the bow module has a ramp that can be used to load either tracked vehicles , wheeled vehicles or other equipment. With types I B, II B and III the construction machine is permanently mounted. An exchange system ("Quick Connect System") enables the two working components, excavator arm and crane boom, which are both carried on the vehicle, to be exchanged quickly. When construction work is being carried out, the ships are held in position by two anchor piles . The hydraulic telescopic stilts are infinitely variable and automatically adjust the stilt pressure. The bridge , which can be raised by 1.5 meters, is located on the port side and ensures good visibility. The operator's platform is designed for one-man operation with radar monitoring. Two symmetrical coupling locks are arranged in the bow module for pushing existing prams. They are operated hydraulically and permanently readjust the holding force.

Standard floating gripper

The Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure is striving to standardize ships within the federal waterways and shipping administration . Since the floating grab concept of the WSD South largely met the requirements of other waterway and shipping authorities, seven new floating grab buildings (bundled for the WSA Berlin, Bremen, Dresden, Emden, Nuremberg and Schweinfurt) were built in cooperation with the South Engineering Department in Nuremberg. advertised throughout Europe. Faaborg Værft A / S received the entire order in January 2010. In April 2016, another new building for the WSA Bingen was delivered.
