Gyula M. Szabó (born March 15, 1979 in Szeged ) is a Hungarian astronomer and asteroid discoverer.
He received his training at the University of Szeged and has been working as a researcher for the Konkoly Observatory in Budapest since 2009 . During his observations, he and his colleague Krisztián Sárneczky discovered a total of 7 asteroids between 1999 and 2004 .
The asteroid (113203) Szabó was named after him.
