Fabian Gerster (born December 29, 1986 in Bad Saulgau ) is a former German soccer player .
Career
In his youth, Gerster played for SV Ennetach, FC Mengen and SC Pfullendorf , where he also played his first games in the South Regional Football League . In 2009 he then moved to the Stuttgarter Kickers , who had just been relegated from the 3rd soccer league . In the third season, Gerster then managed to rise again with the Kickers to the third highest division. His first professional appearance was on August 8, 2012, when he was substituted on in the 40th minute of the home game against Hallescher FC .
In June 2015, Gerster announced that he would end his professional career and instead start his professional life (he completed a sports management degree at the University of Tübingen in 2014 ).
Early in the season 2017/18 he was assistant coach of his years of teammate Marcel Ivanusa at SpVgg 07 Ludwigsburg presented. However, both resigned before the first match day.
