Marcel Ivanuša , pronounced Iwanuscha, (born January 16, 1985 in Ptuj ) is a German- Slovenian football player .

Career

Ivanuša came to the Stuttgarter Kickers as a teenager . Already during his junior years he played games for the club's second team in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg . For the 2008/09 season, in which he scored 14 goals in the league, the midfielder moved up to the first team and played five games in the third division . He made his professional debut on April 15, 2009, when he was in the starting line-up in the 1-1 draw against SSV Jahn Regensburg . Ivanusa was relegated with the Kickers in 2009 from the 3rd division and managed with the team in his third season in the Regionalliga Süd, the promotion to the third highest division. There he managed to stay up with the Kickers in the 2012/13 season, Ivanuša was involved with 20 appearances and one goal. In the following season he was relegated to the club's second team and at the beginning of 2015 acted as assistant coach to Jürgen Hartmann for the second team of the Kickers . In January 2016, the relegation-threatened upper division club SGV Freiberg signed him , but the relegation could not be prevented, so Ivanusa played another year in the Württemberg Association with Freiberg.

At the beginning of the 2017/18 season, Ivanusa was introduced as a player -coach at SpVgg 07 Ludwigsburg , his assistant coach was his long-time team-mate Fabian Gerster . However, both resigned before the first match day.
