Fabiano José Costa Flora (born May 29, 1985 in Viseu , Portugal ) is a Portuguese football coach . He has been the coach of the East Timorese national football team since 2019 .

Career

Flora started his coaching career in 2009 with the youth team of Lazio . In 2013 he moved to the youth team at Juventus Turin . In 2014, Flora became assistant coach under Giuseppe Galderisi at the Portuguese first division club SC Olhanense , where he stayed for five months (16 games). A month later, Flora started at Académica de Coimbra , where he worked for a year as chief scout. He then went to Myanmar , where Flora initially worked as an assistant coach at Zayar Shwe Myay FC , before replacing previous coach Stefan Hansson in December 2015 and leading the team to sixth place in the Myanmar National League . He stayed with the club until November 2016. From May 2017 to October 2017 he was employed as a coach at Southern Myanmar FC .

In 2019, Flora became the coach of East Timorese first division club Boavista FC , but less than three months later he signed a contract to coach the East Timorese national team in July. He follows the Japanese Norio Tsukitate . Flora wants to continue the coaching position at Boavista until the end of the 2019 season .
