Fabiola da Silva (born June 18, 1979 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian inline skater who achieved world fame in the halfpipe . She received seven gold and one silver medals at the X-Games and over 50 medals at the LG Action Sports World Tour.

Life

In 2000, the Aggressive Skaters Association passed the so-called Fabiola Rule , according to which women have since been allowed to take part in the halfpipe competitions that were previously reserved for male skaters . Fabiola da Silva also regularly placed in the top ten in the mixed competitions. In Germany she competed in the Munich Olympic Park in 2005 at the LG Action Sports World Championships and in 2008 at the Winterclash in Mühlhausen, where she finished second behind Martina Svobodova .

In 2005 she was the first to do a double backflip in a halfpipe.

In 2006 Fabiola da Silva separated from her boyfriend at the time, the skateboarder Sandro Dias .
