Bornheim Castle Specialist Clinic
The Fachklinik Schloss Bornheim was an inpatient medical rehabilitation facility in Bornheim , in the Rhein-Sieg district on the left bank of the Rhine. The institution was carried out by the Teutonic Order , based in Weyarn. Operations ceased on June 30, 2018.
Indication and admission
As part of long-term inpatient therapy, people who were ill with addiction to illegal drugs were treated. Depression, anxiety disorders and traumatic stress disorders were also treated. Couples were also treated, and parents suffering from addiction were able to complete the therapy accompanied by their children. The building of the specialist clinic Schloss Bornheim was built in the 18th century as a baroque pleasure palace and is now a listed building.
